Remote desktop connections enable access to a computer’s desktop, programs, and files from other computers, either in the next room or around the world. Everything appears on the remote computer just as it does when sitting in front of the host computer. Configuring computers to accept these connections is simple—just click a checkbox. Then to access the computer over the Internet a port forward entry is required on the network’s router, which is also painless. However, configuring remote access over the Internet for multiple computers on the same network is not quite so intuitive. To help you learn the ropes, we’ll take you step-by-step, configuring everything to enable hosting of multiple remote connections to computers, on a single network, over the Internet. How to configure TCP/IP Properties of my computer

For Windows XP: Step 1 Click  Start->Control Panel-> select and double click  Network and internet connections -> select and double click   Network Connections .   Step 2 Double-click the  Local Area Connection  icon; highlight  Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)  tab in the Local Area Connection Properties window that appears:   Step 3 Double click it or click  Properties .
